New facility strengthens Saudi Arabia’s role as a regional hub for automotive training, after-sales expertise and technical talent development
Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia – September 2026: Changan Automobile has officially inaugurated its new Middle East Training Center in Al Khobar, in partnership with Almajdouie, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to strengthen after-sales capabilities and elevate the customer experience across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
The inauguration brought together senior leadership from Almajdouie Changan and Changan Automobile, highlighting the importance of the partnership and the growing strategic role of Saudi Arabia within Changan’s regional operations.
Located at Almajdouie’s facilities in Al Khobar, the new center will serve as a dedicated platform for developing automotive service professionals and technicians. It will deliver specialized training focused on after-sales services, technical skills and the latest automotive technologies, helping service teams stay aligned with evolving industry standards and Changan’s product requirements.

The decision to establish the Middle East Training Center in Saudi Arabia reflects the Kingdom’s increasing importance as a center for automotive expertise and talent development. As the country continues to invest in industrial capabilities and workforce development under Saudi Vision 2030, the new facility adds to the growing ecosystem supporting specialized technical skills within the automotive sector.
The center also represents a further development of the longstanding relationship between Changan and Almajdouie in the Saudi market. Over the years, Almajdouie has continued to invest in its Changan operations, building an integrated after-sales ecosystem supported by an extensive service network, technical capabilities and ongoing professional development.
By bringing regional training activities together in Al Khobar, the center is expected to support automotive professionals from markets across the Middle East. Its programs will facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices while helping create greater consistency in service standards across Changan’s regional network.

For customers, the initiative is designed to translate technical investment into a more reliable and efficient ownership experience. Better-trained technicians and service teams can help ensure that vehicles are maintained and supported according to the latest technical requirements, while enabling service operations to respond more effectively to increasingly sophisticated automotive technologies.
The opening comes at a time when the automotive industry is undergoing rapid technological change, with connected vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems, electrification and increasingly sophisticated vehicle electronics transforming the skills required across after-sales operations. Continuous technical training is therefore becoming an increasingly important component of delivering high-quality customer support.

The new facility underscores the shared commitment of Changan and Almajdouie to investing in people alongside products and infrastructure. By developing local and regional technical talent, the partnership aims to strengthen after-sales capabilities while supporting the broader development of Saudi Arabia’s automotive workforce.
The inauguration of the Changan Middle East Training Center ultimately reinforces Saudi Arabia’s position as an important regional base for automotive training and technical expertise. Through continued investment in professional development, Changan and Almajdouie are positioning their partnership to support the evolving needs of customers and the wider automotive industry across the Middle East.
