Hyundai Motor Wins 10 Red Dot Awards for Design and Brand Communication

Hyundai Motor Company has strengthened its position as a global design leader after receiving 10 awards at the prestigious Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2026, including the highly regarded Best of the Best distinction.

The recognition highlights Hyundai Motor’s growing focus on design, customer experience and brand communication as the company continues to evolve from a traditional automaker into a broader smart mobility solutions provider.

Among the biggest achievements was the recognition of UX Studio Seoul, which received three awards, including the Best of the Best award in the Digital Solutions category. The studio was also recognized in the Interior Design and Exhibition Design categories.

Located in Seoul, UX Studio is described as the automotive industry’s first open user experience research space. It allows customers to participate directly in UX development and provide feedback throughout the research process. Its modular spatial system is designed to adapt to changing research environments, turning customer participation into a valuable part of Hyundai’s broader brand development strategy.

Hyundai Motor’s presence at CES 2026 was also recognized with two Red Dot awards, in the Spatial Communication and Fair Stand categories. The exhibition presented the company’s robotics technologies by focusing on robots as technology partners that can grow alongside humans.

Through transparent demonstrations of the research and development behind its robotics innovations, Hyundai used the CES experience to communicate its vision of human-centered, AI-powered robotics to an international audience. Visitor participation played an important role in bringing that vision to life.

Five additional Hyundai projects were recognized as winners. These included Hyundai Hope On Wheels, which received recognition for its renewed corporate identity supporting childhood cancer awareness, research and treatment.

The company’s presence at the 2025 IAA Mobility event was also honored for its platform and booth design. The exhibition presented Hyundai’s vision for Europe’s small electric vehicle market through the Concept THREE, combining an open booth with an immersive experience built around Hyundai Blue.

Other recognized projects included the UX Studio Seoul Book and RETRACE Magazine, both honored in the Corporate Publishing category. The latter celebrates shared memories connected with Hyundai’s STELLAR and SONATA models.

Hyundai’s Onboarding Kit for new employees was also recognized for Corporate Promotional Materials. Built around the concept “Join Our Journey,” the kit incorporates elements inspired by Hyundai’s iconic Pony while bringing the brand’s values into the everyday experience of new employees.

The 10 Red Dot awards further demonstrate Hyundai Motor’s expanding approach to design, where physical spaces, digital experiences, communications and customer engagement work together to shape the brand.

With recognition spanning UX research, exhibitions, robotics communication, corporate identity, publishing and employee experience, Hyundai’s 2026 Red Dot success reflects a broader design philosophy focused not only on vehicles, but on creating meaningful experiences across the entire mobility ecosystem.
