National Auto Award 2026 Concludes Nominations Ahead of Jeddah Ceremony

The National Auto Award 2026 has concluded its nomination phase across all categories for its 14th edition, with winners set to be announced and honoured at a final ceremony in Jeddah in mid-November.

Organised and managed by PR Arabia with support from the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and strategic partnership with JB Finance, the award covers more than 25 categories spanning vehicles, special awards and motorsport.

Chinese Brands and Electrified Vehicles Gain Ground

This year’s nominations reflect changes in Saudi Arabia’s automotive market, with electric and hybrid models emerging strongly across the categories.

Models featuring newer powertrain technologies, including plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs), recorded increased participation.

At the same time, traditional Japanese and Korean categories saw a decline in nominations, while Chinese automotive brands continued to increase their presence in the Kingdom’s market.

The 2026 edition also recorded greater participation in luxury and supercar categories.

A Pivotal Year for Saudi Automotive

The award organisers described 2026 as an important year for the Kingdom’s automotive sector, marked by the introduction of new models featuring modern powertrain technologies.

Saudi Arabia also hosted major international motorsport events, including the Dakar Rally and a Formula E World Championship round.

Another major development highlighted by the organisers was the official launch announcement of Saudi Arabia’s national automotive brand, CEER, on September 21.

More Than 25 Categories

According to Walid Karanouh, Secretary-General of the National Auto Award, the nomination deadline was extended to allow additional participants to enter and accommodate new vehicle models whose arrivals were delayed by global shipping conditions.

The award now covers more than 25 categories, including vehicle awards, special recognitions and motorsport awards.

Karanouh also said new categories and other additions will be revealed during the closing ceremony.

He added that the award aims to keep pace with developments in automotive technology while recognising excellence and innovation across the sector and highlighting influential individuals, companies and initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

The winners of the 14th edition of the National Auto Award will be announced and honoured during the final ceremony in Jeddah in mid-November.
