
The FIA and Formula 1 have announced the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar, featuring 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and 10 Sprint events.
Approved by the World Motor Sport Council, the 2027 season will begin with pre-season testing in Bahrain from February 24 to 27, before the championship opens with the Bahrain Grand Prix followed by the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The calendar will then move through Australia, Japan and China before the Miami and Canadian Grands Prix.

Portugal and Türkiye Return
The European part of the season will feature the return of Portugal in June, following the Monaco Grand Prix.
Türkiye will also return to the Formula 1 calendar in October, with its race scheduled between Azerbaijan and Singapore.
The final part of the season will take drivers to Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo and Las Vegas, before the championship concludes with races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
The 24-race schedule spans five continents and combines established circuits with major international destinations. According to the FIA and Formula 1, the geographical flow of the calendar has also been designed with long-term sustainability goals in mind.
Sprint Events Increase to 10
The number of Sprint events will rise from six in 2026 to 10 in 2027, adding more competitive sessions to the season.
Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco and Abu Dhabi will host Sprint events for the first time.
Monaco will also feature two qualifying sessions, giving drivers additional opportunities to demonstrate their precision on the narrow streets of Monte Carlo.
Sprint events will return to Montréal, Silverstone, Monza, São Paulo and Lusail.

FIA and Formula 1 Welcome Expanded Calendar
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said the 2027 calendar reflects the global growth of Formula 1 while bringing together established venues, returning destinations and an expanded Sprint programme.
“The 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar is a strong reflection of the global appeal and continued growth of our sport,” Ben Sulayem said.
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said the calendar brings together iconic circuits and cities while giving fans more Sprint racing and competitive action.
The 2027 season will take Formula 1 to 24 Grands Prix and 10 Sprint events, with the championship travelling across five continents before concluding in Abu Dhabi.
