Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Porsche Saudi Arabia has unveiled the Sonderwunsch 911 Targa Green Roof 2.0, an exclusive collection of bespoke sports cars created through Porsche’s renowned Sonderwunsch programme. Developed in collaboration between the Sonderwunsch specialists in Zuffenhausen and SAMACO Motors, the official importer of Porsche in Saudi Arabia, the project showcases the highest level of Porsche personalisation while paying tribute to the Kingdom’s rich heritage, architecture and natural landscapes.
The limited collection reflects a shared vision of craftsmanship, individuality and cultural expression. Drawing inspiration from Saudi Arabia’s timeless traditions and iconic scenery, the project transforms the legendary Porsche 911 Targa into a distinctive interpretation that blends luxury, heritage and modern design through meticulous attention to detail.
At the heart of the collection is the signature Green Roof concept, a contemporary interpretation of the iconic Targa roof that has become synonymous with the model’s identity. Inspired by the colours and textures found across Saudi Arabia, the green roof serves as the defining design element, creating a seamless connection between the exterior and interior while embodying the philosophy of the Sonderwunsch programme, which transforms individual ideas into one-of-a-kind automobiles.
Each of the four vehicles features an exclusive Paint to Sample finish, including Fish Silver Grey Metallic, Malachite Green Metallic, Verde Zeltweg Metallic, and Dark Olive Metallic, all paired with the signature green Targa roof. Bespoke exterior details further enhance the collection’s exclusivity, including LED courtesy lights displaying the Sonderwunsch logo and striking 20/21-inch Carrera GTS wheels finished in black with finelines and rim edges painted to match each vehicle’s exterior colour.
Inside, every car has been individually crafted with its own distinctive interior theme to complement its exterior finish. The Fish Silver Grey model is finished in elegant Noto Green leather, while the Malachite Green version features luxurious Cohiba Brown leather. The Verde Zeltweg edition combines black leather with Noto Green accents, and the Dark Olive model is appointed with Nightgreen leather and classic tartan fabric inserts. Across all four vehicles, the signature green Targa roof theme continues through embroidered “Green Roof Targa” headrests, bespoke leather upholstery, Race-Tex surfaces and carefully painted interior components.
The level of craftsmanship extends to personalised sport seats, custom steering wheels, illuminated door sill guards, bespoke gear selectors and individually designed trim pieces. Selected vehicles also feature tailored floor mats, personalised dashboards, customised centre consoles with exclusive stitching and colour accents, unique door panels, knee pads and matching key pouches, highlighting the meticulous attention given to every detail.
To mark the launch, Porsche photographed the Sonderwunsch 911 Targa Green Roof 2.0 collection against the historic setting of Bab Samhan in Diriyah, one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant cultural landmarks. The backdrop reinforces the project’s central theme, where contemporary automotive craftsmanship meets the Kingdom’s rich architectural heritage, creating a visual celebration of tradition, innovation and timeless design.
